Queensland Premier PETER BEATTIE says politicians' criticism of PAULINE HANSON'S three-yearjail term shows self-interest and a lack of respect for the courts.
Mr BEATTIE says MPs at all levels and from all parties, including the prime minister,are running scared.
Mt BEATTIE says he's never seen so many wimps in his life running around like scaldedcats trying to position themselves for political gain.
He says people should have some respect for the courts, which have gone through a processand found an outcome.
Opposition leader LAWRENCE SPRINGBORG has called on the government to ensure the state'selectoral commission reviews the way it handles party registrations.
A central factor in the HANSON case was the presentation of a supporters' group listas an official party membership roll.
But Mr BEATTIE says he believes the commission has improved its processes in the wakeof the Shepherdson inquiry into Labor voting rorts.
