Despite the urging of a non-profit organization, the Adirondack Park Agency will not recommend that the Whitney family conduct a full review before subdividing its massive holding in the heart of the park.

John Quinn, the park agency project manager who reviewed the proposal, said Thursday that he will recommend to the agency's board next month that the family be permitted to subdivide three properties from a 50,000-acre estate in northern Hamilton County.
